Children and Young People at All Saints’

On Tuesday evenings Chat Club in the church itself welcomes around 30 young people. This group sometimes puts on special events. These are advertised in all the good places.

Members of the church run a weekly after-school All Saints’ Church club at Kenton Primary School and we are in the process of developing a weekly church-based children’s facility. The first phase of this development is the regular children’s slot in every 10am service.

We have facilities to support Junior Church, our take on Sunday School, on three Sundays each month (1st, 3rd and 4th) when there is a Parish Communion service. On the second Sunday of each month there is no Junior Church as we hold an all age Parish Praise service in church. Currently we have one group running for 3 – 11 year olds which is held in Kenton primary school, and there is a crèche in the church building for under 3s.

Our sessions are bible based and include a range of activities dependent on the subject, such as discussions and stories, drawing, puppetry, craftwork, games, singing, drama etc. Any children visiting the church with their families are welcome to join us and can be brought to the school before the service begins at 10:00am. The leaders return the children to church in time for communion.

During the year other family and children’s activities can be arranged including a summer Holiday Club, a church picnic, a Christingle service, a group visit to the Pennywell Farm Nativity Play, and a village Crib Service on Christmas Eve.
