A Home Group is a regular get together of people at someones home for a couple of hours to talk about how Christian faith relates to life in our time.  If you would like to be involved in a Home Group please contact our Church Warden, Peter Bilby via our contact page.

These groups are helped by books or pamphlets that contain thought provoking themes or ideas and refer to passages in the bible.  This year we have also explored internet searches that provide numerous references for us to explore.  These kick of our discussion.

Discussion ranges far and wide often heading off on tangents but always bringing some benefit to everyone there.  Worries and concerns can be aired and frequently reveal similar problems that we all face.

If you would like to know more please contact Peter through the website contact page.

What is this group?

The previous group had been meeting for a number of years, with the common interest to explore and understand more about God's Word through discussion of the scriptures.

Who are we?

We were all members of All Saints Church, Kenton but you don't have to be!!  There were 10 people in the group and we welcomed anyone who wished to take part. People have come and gone over the years due to changes in their lives, moving out of the area or other pressures of their home/working life.

Is it very serious?

These groups are informal and no one expects any study in preparation for our evenings. Meetings are very relaxed and discussion very diverse loosely based upon a study book, but ranging across interpretations of scripture, its meanings and relationship to our lives today. Everyone’s viewpoints are encouraged. a lot of fun and learning from each other’s insights. Time passes very quickly!

What is achieved?

We have a shared understanding of the passage explored which helps to understand a greater depth when we hear it later read in church. We have a better understanding of each other’s experience of life and the relationship to our faith. We understand that we have common weaknesses and doubts and understand how these are confronted, each in our own way.

Where and when do we meet?

We meet in someone's home, chosen to provide the best option that suits everyone.
