Because we have seen God at work in people’s lives and experienced direct answers to prayer, we attach great importance to prayer in this church.

As part of many morning services we create a space in which individuals can be prayed for privately in the Lady Chapel.

Morning Prayer is normally said on Monday and Friday mornings at 9am and visitors are invited to join in or to listen.

On Monday evenings at 6.30 there is informal Parish Prayer in the glass room at the back of the church. This is open to anyone and runs for about half an hour.

The church is also open every day from 9am until dusk or 6pm whichever comes first. . It is primarily a place to pray! Visitors to this lovely building are asked to respect the silence and privacy of those who are looking for a quiet space with God.

Members of the Pastoral Team and the Parish Priest are very happy to visit and pray with anyone in special need.

There is a Prayer Tree at the back of the church and anyone is invited to write a Prayer Request card and to hang it on the tree. There are also coloured ‘Thank You’ cards on which people are invited to record their thanks for prayers that have been answered.
